This pay freeze not only affects myself and my family but the employees as well; especially those who put their lives on the line every day in federal law enforcement positions. This is more like a pay decrease due to the rise in medical costs. This is a slap in the face for all of the hard work that us as federal employees put out every day and something needs to be done about this.

I agree that freezing the pay is a bad idea. I’ve got another bad idea. I was injured in the performance of my duties and have been dealing with the Office of Worker’s Compensation for the last 3 years. If there’s ever an agency that needs to have it’s policies looked at, it’s this one. My local union 506 isn’t really concerned with me now that I’m out of sight, out of mind. I have been threatened, bullied, lied to (I have proof), and just flat treated like I’m some sort of criminal. I have gotten my senators and congressman involved and they have lied to their inquiries. I understand that once we’re injured that we are no longer a union issue, but, AFGE, get someone to take care of these people. Email me if you want or need more information.
